Government is coming along really well!
At least that's what Donald Trump had to say (yes, that was an actual quote) in regards to the first-act-of-a-disaster-movie that is his first 100 days in office!
Seth Meyers isn't waiting for Trump's official 100-day mark on Saturday to grade POTUS's performance, and to no one's surprise, the Late Night host isn't giving the Cheeto-In-Chief a passing grade.

On Monday night's "A Closer Look," Meyers pointed out that Trump has failed to live up to virtually all of his "100 day contract" campaign promises, including his signature grandiose vow to build a border wall and make Mexico pay for it.
The late night host then went off on the President's recent AP interview, which was riddled with "unintelligible" babblings and Trump brags — like how he just learned about the different factions within the Republican party. (Way to go, Donny! Want a juice box and some chocolate cake?)

The comedy world lost one of their all time greats when Don Rickles passed away on Thursday at the age of 90.
Because the great insult legend had such a profound influence on many of today's comedians, the hosts of late night were definitely reeling over the loss.
Specifically Jimmy Kimmel, who could barely keep it together as he dedicated his monologue to the icon.

Hours after learning of Rickles' death, the Jimmy Kimmel Live host broke down several times as he shared his favorite memories of the man he idolized since childhood. He then presented a "Best of Don Rickles" video montage from his numerous appearances on the show.
Though other late night hosts weren't as close with Rickles, they all shared a story about a brush they had with "Mr. Warmth," which usually included him making fun of something.
On Late Night, Seth Meyers paid tribute to "one of the all time greats" by telling a story of meeting Rickles at
Seth Meyers nailed it!!
The comedian went in on Donald Trump again during his "Closer Look" segment on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, this time, over his relationship with FOX News and Bill O'Reilly!
In case you missed it, POTUS defended The O'Reilly Factor's host after it was revealed $13 MILLION was shelled out to settle five sexual harassment suits — because of course he did.

Sorry, Kendall Jenner — this was inevitable!
We're sure you've heard about the outrage over Pepsi's tone-deaf protest ad — and now, late night TV is taking a stab at it!
On Wednesday, The Late Show, The Daily Show, and Late Night all addressed the negative publicity with their own creative spins.

First up, Stephen Colbert mocked the advertisement's message:
Seth Meyers always shuts it down!
In his "Closer Look" segment on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, the talk show host explored the ridiculous circumstances surrounding House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes and Donald Trump's alleged ties to Russia.

Nunes held a press conference last week and boldly claimed that Trump officials were under surveillance by the Obama administration. INSANE! There is absolutely ZERO evidence to support that!
And yet, Drumpf and his cronies continue to beat that dead horse. We suppose it's as good a tactic as any to distract from Russia!
Combining humor and actual facts, Seth also pointed out that Trump actually took Nunes' word as proof that he really was being surveilled. Trump told Time magazine:
If Donald Trump hated the media before, just wait till he sees what everyone has been saying following the GOP's failure at repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare).
Video: Jake Gyllenhaal Took Over Late Night To FaceTime Ryan Reynolds!
We mean, late night hosts across the country had quite the field day mocking POTUS for this major political blunder. Not only did Stephen Colbert turn Trump's failure into a School House Rock parody, but Seth Meyers even compared the Trumpster to a '90s sitcom dad. HIGHlarious!
Obviously, Stephen and Seth weren't the only late night hosts to chime in on the headline making news. Be sure to ch-ch-check out the other burns your favorite nighttime personalities dished out on Monday evening (below)!
Jake Gyllenhaal was on Thursday's Late Night to promote his new alien movie with Ryan Reynolds, but who wants to talk about their Life when you can ask about their LIFE??
Like most of us, Seth Meyers is a little obsessed with the burgeoning bromance, so Jake generously offered to FaceTime his costar during his appearance.

The funny thing is, he DOESN'T answer. At first…
And when he does call back, it's at a very inopportune time!
