But no one was sure if Simon Cowell was going to pick up Zayn's contract since Zayn left the band that Simon's been championing for a while now! However we did know Simon had a "leaving member clause" in Zayn's contract with One Direction that totally gave him the option of keeping Zayn.
And it apparently looks as if Simon Cowell will not only pick up Zayn's option, but is expecting him to stay a part of his record label Syco for a long time!!
TheX Factorgirl band's debut album Reflection is out now, so to celebrate, Simon sat down with us to chat exclusively about working with the girls, how famous he thinks they're going to be, and what his favorite song off the new album is.
And to be honest, his favorite is totally our fav too!
Then make sure to watch (below) as Ricky shares with us why this new group will make a real cultural impact, why social media is important to new artists, and what it will take to audition for La Banda!
The Latin superstar will be serving as a judge AND an executive producer on Simon's new reality competition called La Banda. Auditions will be held all around the country looking for the ultimate Latino boyband as part of the biggest talent search in U.S Hispanic television history!!!
Boys aged 14 and over will be able to sign up to audition in a city near them. All of the audition information can be found right HERE.
The reality competition is set to appear on the Univision Network this September, and we can't wait to see all the talent on display!
Naturally, there will be comparisons to One Direction, who were discovered on Cowell's The X Factor U.K. But rather than attempting to ride on the coattails of 1D, La Banda is embracing an opportunity to finally get the Latino supergroup that the world hasn't seen since Ricky's Menudo days!
And we'll be able to watch each piece of the group come together on TV!
And if you're interested in possibly participating on this historic show then we've also got all the information you need right here! Check out the La Banda audition dates and the cities where everything is happening down (below)!!!
That's because U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman just ruled in Brady's favor in the 'deflategate' case!
Berman ruled that the NFL didn't follow its collective bargaining agreement with players when it handed down the 4 game suspension to Brady for his role in using underinflated footballs in their postseason game.
This means that Judge Berman has also nullified all four games the quarterback was initially suspended for -- he'll be eligible to play in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 10!
When the charges were initially brought against the Pats player, Brady maintained he didn't do anything wrong. The NFL players' union had his back and took the suspension case to court.
Though it's been widely suggested that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will appeal this decision, Brady at least has a little breathing room, and can get back to what he does best!
