Though Johnny Depp may be high on many lists of fantasy loves (including ours), sources say Amber just can't commit to him.
As you know, they've let their infatuation go somewhat public with their nightclub rendezvous, but sources insist she's solely in it for the ride:
"Johnny and Amber have been having a lot of fun spending time with one another, but Amber keeps telling him she's not interested in being with him in a monogamous relationship. She says she feels she's too young for him, but the main factor is Amber prefers dating women over men and has no interest in committing to a guy — even if he is Johnny Depp!"

Well… even though she likes it both ways, one insider says she'd prefer to keep the LTRs reserved for the ladies:

But something tells us he'll be all right. After all, he's recently dived back into the world of music — his first love. Having performed with everyone from Alice Cooper to Ke$ha lately, we're DYING to catch one of his surprise appearances.
The talented pirate has also been contributing time to help Damien Echols of the West Memphis Three raise awareness on the flaws of the justice system. So yeah… we'd say he'll be juuuust fine without Heard.
We mean, we absolutely LOVE the vixen. But she's not the only one meant to surf with Scissorhands!
