Jim Carrey has already proven he can make a potty humor argument for more gun control.

Now he's making a heartfelt one.

The comedian took a break from the comedy on Thursday to send a special salute to Martin Luther King, Jr. on the anniversary of his shooting death. He tweeted:

45 years ago today civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. was taken by an assassin's bullet. He preached and lived non-violence. 3^}

Rather than repeating his view, all he did was remind us of another special person taken from us by a madman with a gun. He also tweeted:

Has Rob Kardashian already fallen for his current girlfriend Naza Jafarian? Better yet, could he be professing his love for her publicly?

We’re not entirely sure what to make of that Instagrammed selfie, but he sure does sound pretty smitten to us!
