Team USA Has More Medals Than China!
Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings won gold for the third Olympics in a row in the women's beach volleyball final!
They're the first people to do that since it became an official Olympic sport back in 1996! Congrats!
Track and field netted us tons of medals with Allyson Felix winning the women's 200 meter dash, while Brittney Reese and Janay DeLoach won gold and bronze respectively in the women's long jump.
Leshinda Demus won silver in the women's 400 meter hurdles, while Aries Merritt and Jason Richardson finished first and second in the men's 110-meter hurdles.
Olympic newbie Ashton Eaton is breaking decathlon records by winning the first day's events for the 100 meter dash, the 400 meter, the long jump and coming in second in the high jump.
The U.S. men's basketball team is still kicking butt, wiping the court with their rivals, recently beating Australia 119 to 86. Kobe scored 20 points in the second half!
Clarissa Chun of Hawaii won a bronze in women's 48-kilogram freestyle wrestling by beating the same woman who beat her from bronze last Olympics! Way to go!
Congratualtions to all the athletes of Team USA, medal or not, you've all made us so proud.
Now let's get out there and finish these Olympics with the most medals AND the most golds! We can do it!
USA! USA! USA!
