YouTube star Elijah Daniel just found a BRILLIANT way around President Donald Trump‘s new ban on U.S. embassies flying the gay pride flag this month… he bought his own town!
The 25-year-old YouTuber and comedian announced today that he has officially bought the town of Hell, Michigan, and his first act upon making the purchase is a big one: he’s re-naming the town to Gay Hell. LOLz!!!

Hours ago, on Monday afternoon, Daniel announced the news to his Twitter followers with a series of tweets about the purchase, and important changes he was quickly making to his new home of Gay Hell (below):

According to Daniel, the reasoning behind purchasing Hell and turning it into Gay Hell was very, very simple (below):
“Ahead of pride month Trump’s administration put a ban on embassy’s flying pride flags. So as of today, I am now the owner of Hell, Michigan. I bought the whole town. And my first act as owner, I have renamed my town to Gay Hell, MI. The only flags allowed to fly are pride.”
And he continued, bragging about the town’s incredible amenities (below):
“Gay Hell, Mi has everything. A library, a place to lock your love in Gay Hell, and even a WEDDING CHAPEL TO GET GAY MARRIED IN HELL! Donald Trump annoyed me so much that i bought a whole f**king town.”
That is too damn funny! And so clever — such a creative way to stick it to the man!
Ironically, this isn’t even the first time that Daniel has been to Hell — er, Gay Hell — before! Back in 2017, he briefly became the mayor of Gay Hell (which has a year-round population of about 70 people), and worked to officially ban heterosexuality in the town, before he got impeached… all in one day.
What a civic leader and a difference maker!!!

No word yet on whether Trump will respond to Elijah’s little stunt here, but it’s definitely a clever form of protest — we certainly aren’t hating the message it (ironically) sends to #MAGA folks everywhere!
