Joe Alwyn isn’t going to stand for any bulls**t about his relationship with Taylor Swift — and that means no calling out his desire to keep things exceptionally private between the two of them!
The 27-year-old actor spoke to Mr. Porter’s weekly digital mag The Journal this week, when Swift came up in conversation, forcing Alwyn to defend how the pair seems to be intent on playing a very, very low profile through their entire courtship.

That’s decidedly on purpose for the actor, who almost seemed to be incredulous at the thought that a relationship would be anything other than a private affair, saying:
“I don’t think [it’s more private] than anyone else. I don’t think anyone you meet on the streets would just spill their guts out to you, therefore why should I? And then that is defined as being ‘strangely private’. Fine. But I don’t think it is. I think it’s normal.”
That’s…. true, kind of.
Joe and Taylor are obviously entitled to privacy just like anyone else would be — but let’s be honest here, too! He’s not exactly “anyone you meet on the street” with his level of fame! Or hers!
