Kate Middleton Talks About Her Struggle With Motherhood

Kate Middleton Speech Children Mother Struggles

“Everybody experiences the same struggle.”
That may seem a ridiculous statement coming from the Duchess of Cambridge, but at a certain point momming is momming — even if your baby is of the Royal variety.
Kate Middleton visited the Family Action charity on Tuesday to launch a new support line, in which volunteers will take calls from parents and caregivers across the U.K.

During her speech she spoke about how even she needed more help than just a nanny as she raises three kids:

“It’s so hard. You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother particularly in the early days, but after the age of one it falls away. After that there isn’t a huge amount, lots of books to read…”

That’s a really good point. Why ARE there more baby books than just plain parenting books?
Maybe because parents get to the point they’re no longer afraid they’re going to break their kids and therefore not rushing out to buy more books? Hmm…
In any case, it’s comforting to know even the Royals feel our pain on this. And Meghan Markle will, too, soon enough…
