The two rappers, who had been planning their peaceful march through downtown LA for a few days, used the movement as an opportunity to open up a dialogue with the Los Angeles Police Department and the city's Mayor's Office — and judging by what the men posted on social media this afternoon, it appears things went very well.

It all started today with the pic of the two artists (above), posted to Instagram on The Game's account inviting everyone to join them on the march (below):

"As a member of the LGBT community myself, I was disappointed by the fact that George was disappointed… I get it. He has had his own personal journey and has his own personal relationship with this character but, you know, as we established in the first Star Trek film in 2009, we've created an alternate universe, and my hope is that eventually George can be strengthened by the enormously positive response from especially young people who are heartened by and inspired by this really tasteful and beautiful portrayal of something that I think is gaining acceptance and inclusion in our societies across the world, and should be."

- Zachary Quinto's response to George Takei saying that Sulu being gay in the upcoming film Star Trek Beyond was "really unfortunate."

According to multiple reports, Jeronimo Yanez (above, left) has been with the St. Anthony Police Dept. for only four years — coincidentally the same length of time as Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II in Baton Rouge — and was the officer directly responsible for Philando's death.

From the Facebook Live video, we know that Jeronimo was visibly shaken after firing at least four shots into the cafeteria worker's right arm… not that that fact makes his actions any less monstrous.

The suit alleges the network gave preferential treatment to white male co-workers and alleges gender and religious discrimination, and the former employees have filed paperwork with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as well.

While Alton Sterling and Philando Castile's tragic deaths have recently captured the country's attention, they weren't the only people killed by authorities this week, let alone this year.

In fact, at least 569 Americans have been shot to death by police so far in 2016, including Melissa Ventura, a 24-year-old who died on Tuesday.

According to multiple reports, two sheriff's deputies in Yuma County, Arizona were responding to a domestic disturbance call on the evening of July 6 when the mother-of-three opened the door and lunged at the officers with a kitchen knife.

It's true that Melissa did attack the deputies, but many people are questioning why two grown men were unable to disarm a woman so much smaller than them without the use of lethal force.

Following the incident, an obviously upset Tiffany Ventura spoke to local station KYMA about her sister's death, saying:
