A massive stroke back in 2013 left Randy Travis without much of a vocabulary.
And now, as we learn from his wife Mary Davis-Travis, the country singer was lucky to even have survived the entire health scare.
The Forever and Ever, Amen singer was inducted into Country Music's Hall of Fame in Nashville on Tuesday night — and when he was only able to muster a sincere "thank you" in his acceptance speech, his bride came to the stand.
The loving couple were engaged before his stroke, and married in Texas in 2015.
Mary admitted that having to speak on behalf of the musician was a "daunting task of being the voice of this man who so eloquently put words to melody to make beautiful music."

Sweet Mother of Dragons! That's over $100 million for the entire season!
While this may seem like a staggering amount, HBO never had a problem shelling out the big bucks for GoT.
Earlier reports say the show's second season cost $6 million per episode to make — which means the network will be steadily throwing more cash at the series as it's popularity continues to grow!
This Mountain sized budget is just another reason why Season 6 of GoT will be the best one yet!
