With an intergalactic '80s themed music video and an energetic Billboard Music Award performance, the pop-tastic tune was thought to be the official summer anthem of 2015!
But surprisingly, the track just passed the top 30 on the charts and has dropped down ever since. And Iggy-Ig attributes that to a lack of promotion for the song!
On Sunday, the 25-year-old took part in a Twitter Q&A and had a lot to say about the "flopped" single with Brit! She responded:
We're just glad it wasn't us!
Everyone loves dancing and we're sure people dream of being on stage with their favorite band! But that doesn't mean it's a good idea, and it's REALLY not a good idea when there's an NFL player around, ESPECIALLY when that player is J.J. Watt!
Over the weekend, at a Zac Brown Band concert, everyone seemed to be rocking out and enjoying themselves when one fan decided to get up on stage and start dancing right next to the band!
Well J.J. wasn't going to have any of that! You can see in the video (below) Watt quickly intervenes and does what he does best — tackling someone!!
He took the stage dancer down so fast, we doubt the dude knew what hit him! Watt then got up and put on a pair of sunglasses! It's seems almost too perfect to be on the fly — but then again, who would be dumb enough to volunteer to get tackled by the pro-bowler?!
Ch-ch-check out the video for yourself (below) and let us know in the comments below if you think Watt was a real hero or it was all part of the show!
He couldn't be more on point!
John Oliver delivered one of the best breakdowns about transgender discrimination we've heard!
He then makes sure to very clearly define "transgender" while giving his input on the media's curiosity by saying:
Transgender people have a gender identity that differs from the one they were assigned at birth, and that gender identity is not the same as sexual orientation. Gender identity is who you are, sexual orientation is who you love. Some transgender people do undergo hormone therapy or sexual reassignment surgery as part of their transition; some do not. And interestingly, their decision on this matter is, medically speaking, none of your fucking business.
From here, the late night host points to specific stories where transgendered people have been shamed in one way or another. He covers various stories and how they relate to shaming in politics such as Mike Huckabee disgusting misunderstanding of what it means to be transgender — in military service such as the case of an Iraqi soldier who feels more at home and "on vacation" because they essentially not held to the same social norms as they are back home — and even at the DMV where a some transgender people were asked to remove makeup and wigs.
Make sure you ch-ch-check out the whole segment (below) as it's not only HIGH-larious for the light that John brings to it, but is EXTREMELY informative and drives home the point that "transgenders still face a host of obstacles" and we need to continually strive for equality!
Goose may be gone, but Maverick's still got the need for speed!
That's right! It looks like there's still life for a Top Gun sequel after all! The last serious talk about sequel to the Tom Cruise '80s classic was back in 2012 when the director of the original, Tony Scott, was out doing location scouting for the film This was of course right before Scott took his own life.
Since then, there hasn't been a whole lot of rumblings regarding where the project might stand — until now!
David Ellison, a Co-producer and the Skydance CEO said at a press junket for one of his latest movies, Terminator Genisys, that:
However, Tay Tay's frenemy Katy Perry proves she can make bank all by herself!
The publication just released their list of the 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities of 2015 — and the Teenage Dream singer was the top earning musician!
Miz Perry made a whopping $135 million! Damn girl! Don't spend it all in one place!
However, the biggest shocker was Beyoncé — who dropped to 29th place with $54.5 million.
Oh well! There's always next year!
The Top 10 is:
This is pride, y'all!
