Speaking on the red carpet at the Habitat for Humanity Builders Ball in El Lay on Wednesday night, Magic shared some heartfelt words. He confessed:
"It's a tough situation for those who have known him and also those who are in the NBA family, and then probably all the fans here in Los Angeles and all the other cities that he played in, because of the fact that this is a young man that thrilled us all with his talents. But for me personally, I got a chance to know him and got to be friends with him, and he would always bounce things off [me], because when he came out, everybody compared him to myself—big man that could handle the ball—so we had that whole dynamic that we had together."
A source close to the television personality described Miz O'Donnell as "extremely depressed," sharing:
"It's very sad and Rosie doesn't know how to handle it. Chelsea won't speak to her."
Needless to say, the two have been through quite a bit as of late — which was triggered by a controversial search for O'Donnell and her ex Kelli Carpenter's adoptive daughter, who was found later hiding out with her 25-year-old convicted-heroin-dealer BFSteven Sheerer.
We just hope the former The View host and Chelsea find some common ground and can move forward from publicly (and personally) feuding.
