Boyhood Completes Their Big Night By Winning Best Picture At The Critics' Choice Awards

| Filed under: Critics' Choice Awards

Your Reaction?

And we've made it to the big moment of the night!

As you'd expect, the Critics' Choice Movie Awards Best Picture category was full of so much emotion and talent! We're not even sure how they picked a winner!

But the Critics did, and the winner is… Boyhood!

It's not a huge surprise since the flick was the big winner of the night! The other films it beat out were Birdman, Gone Girl, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Nightcrawler, Selma, The Theory of Everything, Unbroken, and Whiplash.

We wish they all could win, but this film deserved the distinguishment.

Ch-ch-check out Richard Linklater's acceptance speech (above)!

Someone had a pretty good Thursday!

Michael Keaton continued to sweep the Critics' Choice Movie Awards by winning his THIRD award of the night!

In addition to being named a part of the Best Acting Ensemble and the Best Comedic Actor, Michael went ahead and won the award for Best Actor overall for his work in Birdman.

He was up against some strong competition, but once he won for comedy, we were pretty sure he'd win this category as well.

Michael beat out the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch for The Imitation Game, Ralph FiennesThe Grand Budapest Hotel, Jake GyllenhaalNightcrawler, David OyelowoSelma, and Eddie RedmayneThe Theory of Everything to nab the title.

If you couldn't tell by the number of awards it won tonight, you kind of owe it to yourself to see Birdman.

Congrats AGAIN, Michael!

With almost no time left in the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, the moment came to announce the Best Actress award.

And the big winner was… Julianne Moore for her role in Still Alice!

The actress was extremely gracious in her acceptance speech, mentioning fellow nominees Jennifer Aniston for her part in Cake, Marion Cotillard for Two Days, One Night, Felicity Jones for The Theory of Everything, Rosamund Pike for Gone Girl, and Reese Witherspoon for Wild.

The choice was a tough one, but the critics have spoken!

We'd react the same way if we were in the room with Thor himself!

When Chris Hemsworth came onstage (ew, not like that) there was one celeb who could not contain herself!

That's right, Jennifer Aniston was caught calling Chris "beautiful" while the cameras were rolling at the Critics' Choice Awards.

Who can blame her? Who?!?

Richard Linklater Demands The Stage As He Wins The Critics' Choice Award For Best Director!

| Filed under: Film FlickersCritics' Choice Awards

Your Reaction?

And just like that, one of the biggest awards at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards is gone!

But that's only because Richard Linklater won it!

The man behind Boyhood won the award for Best Director, and we have to say, none of the other pieces could really compare to his 12-year project.

It's seriously one of a kind!

To win the honor, Richard beat out Wes Anderson for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Ava DuVernay for Selma, David Fincher for Gone Girl, Alejandro G. Inarritu for Birdman, and Angelina Jolie for Unbroken.

Congrats again, Richard!

Sigh, time to go through our worst dressed list!

It's definitely not our favorite part of the night!

Unfortunately for Amy Adams and Keira Knightley, we weren't very thrilled with their choices for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards!

The Imitation Game actress hasn't really been winning us over with her maternity looks on the red carpet and Amy, that dress wasn't impressive at all.

We're looking forward to your next gown, ladies!
