squad legal team was ready!
TMZ is reporting that the 26-year-old singer actually threatened Kanye West with legal action back in February for secretly recording their telephone exchange.

According to them, the Shake It Off artist's lawyer sent a letter to the rapper's team which described how secretly recording a conversation is a criminal offense in the state of California, and it was believed by a source that Kanye did in fact record the controversial convo in a Los Angeles studio.
Additionally, the letter reportedly read as such:
"Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated."
Since the recording in question clearly wasn't destroyed as Kim Kardashian West so proved on Snapchat Sunday night, Taylor would be able to file a lawsuit against the couple for breaking the law.
And while the award-winning songstress didn't mention that in her response to the reality TV starlet's leak, she did have the internet questioning whether she had that note ready to go as well.
Some Twitter users pointed out the fact that Tay's statement was actually searched for in her Notes app, as shown by the "search" at the top. You can see it (below):
