Will Smith knows exactly what audiences want to see!
During the commercial break, the in house band Stay Human played the Fresh Prince's hit song Summertime, and the 47-year-old couldn't help but join in!
The audience went crazy as Will ran across the stage to grab the mic, and proceeded to spit out all the lyrics to his 1991 R&B track. (No DJ Jazzy Jeff cameo, but we can dream.) Take a look (above)!
After the surprise performance, Will sat back down to explain why he didn't join the rest of his Squad costars in getting tattoos — then he got existential with Colbert in a funny segment of Big Questions With Even Bigger Stars.
Ch-ch-check out the rest of Will's interview (below)!
Ugh, violence is never the answer!
According to docs obtained by TMZ, Straight Outta Compton star Jason Mitchell (he played Easy-E), is currently under investigation for the alleged assault of an 18-year-old woman. Cops say the ugly incident occurred at a fancy Boston hotel early Monday morning.
Per the report, the alleged victim unsuccessfully tried to crash Jason's hotel party. Apparently the snub really upset the woman and some eyewitnesses claim she struck the actor with her open hand in retaliation.
Unfortunately, J.M. supposedly escalated the situation by throwing the terrified fan down on the ground by her hair as he called her a b*tch. The 29-year-old also reportedly grabbed the woman by her arms.
Before police could arrive, Jason fled and the hotel has since banned him from the property. As of now, the rising celeb has yet to speak out on the scandal.
We'll keep you updated as this case progresses.

If you follow actor Jason Biggs and his comedian wife Jenny Mollen on Twitter, you know they're no strangers to live-tweeting each episode of Bachelor, Bachelorette, or even Bachelor In Paradise.
During an interview on Tuesday with ET promoting their upcoming comedy Amateur Night, the American Pie star and the bestselling author let us know how they really feel about JoJo and Jordan's individual intentions on the show.
Quite simply, Biggs said:
"There's only one person on that show who was in it for JoJo: JoJo."
