Ice Age To Be Turned Into A Live Show

Oh. Okay.
Didn't see this one coming.
Twentieth Century Fox plans to turn the animated film Ice Age into a live show that will be designed by the same people behind Cirque du Soleil.
Ice Age! A Mammoth Adventure will begin their tour at London's Wembley Arena, starting November 2012.
After that, it will go on a FIVE-YEAR, 30 country tour, starting in Europe and eventually making its way to the U.S. at an undetermined date.
President of Fox Consumer Products says:
"It's part of an overall strategy to evolve from the pop-culture experience that the movie is into a pop-culture immersion. We're trying to deepen the audience connection."
The production will feature ice-skating (obvs), aerial stunts, and puppetry. Audiences can expect to see "giant animals flying through the arena," with some being as big as 40 feet high.
Having a Cirque du Soleil-type Ice Age show just seems so random, but hey, kids will still love it.
