Good for you, momma! Way to stand up for your son.
Mom Traci Lanzone is suing her son's school for failing to protect her son from relentless bullying, even after she complained to school officials over 30 times.
For the past two years, Traci's son had been bullied numerous times after he told his classmates he was gay. He was harassed with name-calling, shoving, food being thrown at him, and so much more.
"Everything from being pushed, kicked, having food thrown at him, his clothes being hidden…it was just relentless. No child should ever have to go through that. You shouldn’t have to go to school and worry about what the day is going to bring."
A rep for the school district responded with this:
"The Marion Central School District takes bullying very seriously. The district has strict policies against bullying and established procedures for handling reported incidents. Student safety is a primary concern for the school district."
Um, obviously not!!! Traci filed over 30 specific complaints with the school district over the past two years and NOTHING was done.
Thank goodness she didn't give up on her son's protection. We hope you go through with the lawsuit and you teach them a hard lesson about how to really protect their students.
