Amanda Holden: Work Helped Me Get Through Terrifying Baby Birth

So Brave!

In January Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden had a crazy-scary experience while giving birth to her daughter, Hollie Rose.

The delivery caused Amanda to lose so much blood, that she came seriously close to DYING! Incredibly, just a couple of weeks after this tragic ordeal, the crazyass was back at work.

Why so restless? According to Amanda working is how she "deals" with her emotions. The Brit explains that:

"Going back to work when I did is how I deal with things. I always face life head on. I wanted to get back. It was important that I did something normal and show my six-year-old daughter Lexi that I was still the same old mum. I face every disaster and crisis head on. I've never hidden away. Working is what I love and what I know."

This isn't the first time Amanda used the "focus on workn'" tactic to save help her through a rough time. The singer says she did the same thing last year when she lost a son seven months into her pregnancy. She explains:

"Six weeks after losing our son I was rehearsing for Shrek. It gave me focus and fitness - without that I would probably have gone down a much darker route. It's that attitude that has got me back to where I am now. It helped me get over what I've been through. Not just this but also the stillbirth and the miscarriage."

We're not sure that's the healthiest way to deal with emotions, BUT it we're glad it works for her!
