Even ex-familiy members have issues with how the Houstons are handling things!
Whitney Houston's ex-sister-in-law, Monique Houston, says was shocked that the family let her daughter Bobbi Kristina be interviewed by Oprah so soon after her mother's death.
Monique, who was married to Whitney’s brother Gary, told HLN's Dr. Drew:
“The whole interview was a little disturbing. It was a little soon to expose Bobbi Kristina to the media. I’ve lost my mother — and losing your mother is a huge trauma — and I really think she needs time to heal."
The "too soon" interview isn't the only issue Monique has with her ex-husband's family.
She explains that the reason she left the Houston family was because of on going drug abuse, and believes Whitney's death should be a sign that it's time for the whole fam change. She said:
"It’s time to heal — it’s time to stop pointing the fingers and shifting the blame … I'm concerned about all the children in the family … there are addiction issues in the family. There's other people involved now to be concerned about."
Monique claims she appeared on the show to promote awareness about enabling.
Though… it kind of seems like she may be addicted to attention.
