Padma Lakshmi On Recent Custody Ruling

Padma Lakshmi says she didn't lose anything in her custody battle.
While walking the red carpet at "The Blossom Ball," a fundraiser for women suffering from endometriosis (a disease that effects the uterus), the Top Chef host got VERY emotional about the legal battle over her 2-year-old daughter, Krishna, with computer mogul Adam Dell.
Padma teared up as she told reporters:
"I was told I had a very small chance of ever having a baby. EVER having one. [Krishna] just turned 2 years old and she's a beautiful, healthy, happy baby, and I didn't lose anything. There was nothing to lose — she's a delight and joy."
It's understandable that Padam would get a little emo by the thought of her daughter at the charity event. She acknowledges how lucky she is to have had a child at all, saying:
"I had a very small percentage of a chance of ever having a baby. What we're doing here tonight is actually helping the 10 million other women [who are affected with endometriosis] to have the possibility of the same joy that I have."
AW! We knew we loved her for a good reason!
She is beautiful, talented and incredibly humble. She must be a fantastic momma!
