Sweet Little Girl Raises $2,500 For Wildlife Preservation!
What a special little girl!
7-year-old Winter Slade didn't want presents for her birthday, so instead, she asked people to give money to a nature preservation charity that is close to her heart.
"I thought it was awesome. She thought that was a great idea because she had enough toys already."
After Michelle posted her plea to help protect the pine marten, a ferret relative, on Reddit, she not only matched her $500 goal, but she raised five times as much!
Now that she's raised $2,500 for wildlife preservation through the Canadian nonprofit Earth Rangers, it seems that Winter will have a happy birthday, indeed!
