A lawsuit has been filed against the teacher who bullied Akian Chaifetz, the 10-year-old autistic boy whose father proved his son was bullied after placing a wire on him.
Surprisingly, it was not Akian's father that has pressed charges, but rather a North Jersey man who surpassed his severe childhood disabilities and became a professional musician.
Here's what the musician said:
“Akian was bullied, harassed, and publically humiliated, which is a direct violation of his civil rights. The teacher needs to be removed immediately.”
Akian's father does not plan to pursue legal actions against his son's former teacher, but he will countersue if she tries to sue him.
Here's what the father said about why he thinks the teacher chose his son as a victim:
“He was the perfect victim and I believe this created a culture of cruelty in the classroom. All the children in class were special needs and had communication problems, these kids couldn’t tell anyone what was happening."
We really hope the teacher, if she is guilty, is removed from the schools indefinitely. No one deserves to keep working with children after tormenting them.
Especially children who have special needs.
