Fans of Nas, the legendary rapper from Queens, are absolutely loving the new single off his upcoming album. The song is called Daughters.
Everyone that is except Carmen Bryan, the mother of Nas' daughter, who has gone to Twitter to express her outrage over the new song.
Here's what Bryan said:
"Just heard 'Daughters' by Nas. What a disappointment! He had nothing positive to say about our daughter and his depiction of her is false."
At one point in the song Nas references an incident where his daughter Destiny Jones posted a photo of a box of condoms on her Instagram.
Here's what Nas says:
She planted a box of condoms on the dressing table then she instagramed it/At this point I realized I ain't the strictest parent.
We can understand why the mother is upset, but the song itself is pretty awesome.
Sometimes our most creative works come from an extremely personal place which seems to be the case here.
After he released the song, Nas sent a special tweet out for his daughter "I love my princess Destiny Jones."
