Eva Mendes's new film Girl in Progress follows a single mom who is too preoccupied with "paying the bills" to notice that her teenage daughter, played by Cierra Ramirez, is in desperate need of her attention.
The charitable actress combined her star power and the film's message to bring together a group of teen girls and their moms for a special screening of the film earlier this week to promote the Step up Women's Network.
Both stars met with the young girls and took the time to share their personal experiences and connections to the film's characters.
And what a treat for these young girls!
The film is said to be incredible and according to the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) the film's message:
"is bound to impact thousands of lives and bring a life altering revelation, which will transform the homes of Hispanic families across the nation."
Wonderful! We're ALWAYS about positive Latina influences!
Check out more pics (below) from the event and go see Girl in Progress May 11th with your momma! That's Mother's Day weekend!!!
