A father who wired his autistic child and recorded teachers bullying his son has set off a legislation movement in New Jersey that hopes to expedite the disciplinary process for teachers who bully students.
The movement hopes to gain traction immediately after a bill was introduced yesterday that would expand anti-bullying laws to cover incidents where teachers are the aggressors.
Here's what the father of one bullied child said:
"Schools are supposed to be fertile ground where our children can grow into healthy individuals. In those few places where staff members, for whatever reason, treat them with disrespect and disdain, like they did to my son, they can really destroy lives,"
The senator pushing the bill through said she was motivated to action after hearing about the several recent publicized teacher bullying incidents that have happened lately.
This is so great!
Hopefully, this is only the first step to a world that will be totally eradicated of bullying not just by teachers, but by other students as well.
We need to take a stand against bullying, once and for all.
