The mouse is in the HOUSE!!!!
Children’s charities in central Florida got some special chee$e from Mickey Mouse in the form of a big fat check from Disney!!!
Katie Porta who works for a charity which helps children with disabilities called Quest, couldn’t believe her
ears eyes when she saw the world’s most famous mouse along with Disney's Meg Crofton pay her a visit.
"Oh, you're kidding!. I never would have thought …."
You know how the rest goes!!!!
The surprise visit was the final stop of Disney's Prize Patrol Tour to announce the company's 2012 Helping Kids Shine grants, which will give a WHOPPING $1.5 million to 59 Central Florida nonprofits!!!
Lucky for Quest, being last was CERTAINLY not least- the charity was presented with a $55,000 check and a Mouse statuette given in memory of Bob Allen, the late Walt Disney World chief known for his ah-may-zing generosity!!!
The charity is hoping to use the funds to help build a new digital-media program that will help children with autism develop computer skills which according to Porta will 'engage children with disabilities in creative and innovative ways, but will also help them build the real-world skills they need for brighter lives and future success.’
This is BEYOND ah-may-zing, and we're so glad these kids got such a priceless gift!!!!
