Tide Pods have been praised for their convenience to laundry doers, but at what cost?
We would be, too!
Here's what one health expert said:
“The rapid onset of significant symptoms is pretty scary. Other laundry detergents cause only mild stomach upset or even no symptoms at all. Although we aren’t certain what in the product is making the children sick, we urge all parents and caregivers to make sure laundry detergent packs are not accessible to young kids.”
Whose bright idea was it to make these pods look exactly like candies?
If they looked like dirt then we might not have this problem!
One reported incident had a 15-month-old child eat one of these pods, and immediately start to vomit. Eventually the kid had to use a ventilator just to breathe - wtf???
Here's what the genius maker of the product had to say for themselves:
"We encourage consumers to keep the products out of the reach of children as with any household chemical.”
They will manufacture a more child proof design this summer.
That day can't come soon enough!
