Is being preggers making you feel overwhelmed?
You're not alone.
In fact a woman named Preggers In Philly is feeling the same way!
So she wrote to our pro party planner, organizer, and all around motherhood expert Amy Malin, asking:
Hi Amy. I'm four months pregnant, I'm about to be a first time Mom and I have to admit I'm a bit overwhelmed. Everyone is telling me what to eat, what to read, what baby gear to buy, but honestly I don't know how to cut through all of the clutter and weed out the good information from the bad. Are there resources for pregnant Mommies to help make sense of it all?
Preggers in Philly.
And here's what Amy had to say in response:
Hi Preggers in Philly. First of all, congrats on this beautiful journey toward Mommyhood. You're totally right that pregnancy can make you feel overwhelmed at times. That is understandable as there are so many changes going on with your body and your hormones. Take a deep breath, relax and chill. You deserve it. There is a great resource called Pregnancy Awareness Month and this awesome group of MommyPrenuers hosts FREE events in major cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, Austin, Bethesda, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, New York City, Orange County, Pasadena and Walnut Creek. Their event is designed to help pregnant women and their partners get valuable information and meet trusted baby gear manufacturers all while having FUN. Here is where you will learn about the incredible medical benefits for your family with cord blood banking with ViaCord or why the Woombie is the safest and most effective baby swaddle on the market. There are even doulas and midwives to answer questions about their services and benefits and useful resources like Ricki Lake's documentary "The Business of Being Born", for everyone interested in considering having a home birth. I highly recommend attending the PAM event when it comes to your city because not only will it be a fun way to ask a lot of important questions and receive educated answers, but it will also help you get even more excited to welcome your lil cutie on the way.
Best of luck with your baby!
That's some amazing advice, Amy!
