Father's Day can be a very high pressure holiday. You want to give back all of the good feelings you have for your dad, but you don't want to disappoint or mess up his gifts. That's why we asked the doc who came up with some amazing gift ideas for your old man on Father's Day!
"Here are some ideas to show appreciation for Dad while having fun and building skills at the same time:
* Have your kids practice patterning by gluing different types of macaroni or buttons to make a decorative pattern on a card.
* Build early writing and find motor skills by tracing the outlines of objects around the house to draw a picture. For example, for a "foodie" dad, create a food-themed card by tracing utensils and different types of foods.
* Work on scissor skills by cutting pieces of colored paper and then gluing them to create a collage or picture.
* For older kids who are early readers and writers, help them create their own book for Dad. Have them illustrate a few scenes for the story, then help them write the text on each page."
Follow those ideas, and you'll be sure to have the best Father's Day eva!!!
