Beach Boys' Children Form Tribute Band
California Saga isn't just a Beach Boys tribute band- it's a tributary band!
8 of the band's 10 members are children of the original Beach Boys lineup!
The group is made up of the sons of Al Jardine and Dennis Wilson, the son and daughter of Mike Love, and of course, Brian Wilson's daughters Wendy and Carnie Wilson, formerly of the pop group Wilson Phillips.
They'll try to Hold On to the group's original sound while making it their own. Singer Carnie says:
"We are hoping to go places with the sound and the material - offering people something that has never been offered… [and] maybe even [writing] an original or two."
California Saga's first few shows were opening for their fathers on their That's Why God Made The Radio tour.
But maybe soon they'll Get Around on their own.
