Could this be the sad yet vital moment Etan Patz's parents have been waiting for after 30 years?
The NYPD have returned to the Soho building where the alleged killer of Etan Patz said he murdered the 6-year-old boy after luring him into the bodega basement.
The police searched a part of the building that they had never accessed before.
Police were seen leaving the building, which is on West Broadway and Prince St., with at least one paper bag of possible evidence.
There weren't any new case developments that prompted police to search the building where the possible murder of Patz happened. Rather the owner of the building had allowed police access to a section for the first time - a section which had never been searched before until today.
Pedro Hernandez confessed to murdering 6-year-old Etan Patz in 1979 although questions remain about the alleged murderer's current mental health. There is also no physical evidence linking Hernandez to the apparent crime.
Maybe, hopefully, the NYPD will have some new evidence in this long standing case.
