The Scotland Yard believe they have found the body of Tia Sharp, a twelve-year-old girl who has been missing for over a week, after they searched her house for the third time.
The last person to have seen the young girl alive was her grandmother's partner, Stuart Hazell, who was apprehended after the police launched a manhunt to find him.
Police are sure to face criticism for taking so long to find the body that was right under their nose.
Even before he was apprehended - Hazell was the prime suspect.
During an interview here's what he said:
"Did I do anything to Tia? No, I didn't. I love her to bits. She is like my own daughter. I know deep down she walked out of here. I know deep down she walked down that path. What happened after that I don't know."
Unfortunately, Tia never did walk out of there.
Here's the statement from the police:
"A murder inquiry has been launched after a body was found at 20 The Lindens, New Addington."
Our hearts go out to all of Tia's friends and family during this impossibly sad time.
