Earlier today we told you about two very lucky children that were rescued after their mother left them in hot car.
Luckily for those kids, a witness happened by and called the police. But many other children aren't so fortunate.
In fact, according to Safe Kids Worldwide, 23 children have died so far this year from being overheated while waiting in cars.
The real shocker according to those numbers is that 8 of those children died just in the first week of August!
With the heat wave cooking the country, we don't know how any parent could be careless enough to leave their little ones unattended in the hot car.
Mom and Dad! Bring them in with you! Even for just a couple minutes!
Infants and small children's bodies become hyperthermic 3 to 5 times faster than adults, so even though it may not seem so bad to you doesn't mean your baby isn't suffering!
With your child, remember better safe- and cool- than sorry!
