Octavia Spencer is getting in the writing books game.
And she's specifically targeting middle schoolers - those lucky ducks.
The actor from The Help has a deal in place with Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers to write not one but a couple of detective books that are aimed for the middle school audience.
The first book, which is scheduled to come out next fall, will be called Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective: The Case of the Time-Capsule Bandit.
Spencer has said that her inspiration for the books are mystery books such as Nancy Drew and Encyclopedia Brown, and she hopes to recreate their "sense of magic" for kids entering their teenage years.
Way to go, Octavia!!!
