Mom Gets 99 Years For Gluing Two-Year-Old Daughter's Hands To Wall & Beating Her

A 23-year-old mother who glued her daughter's hands to the wall before proceeding to beat the 2-year-old so savagely that the little one fell into a coma has been sentenced by a Dallas judge to spend 99 years in prison.
Elizabeth Escalona had faced a sentence from either probation to life in prison - the prosecutors in the case had sought 45 years behind bars. The judge thought that wasn't enough, and rightly so.
The mother, a former gang member, had Super Glued her daughter's hands, and "punished" the two-year-old for having potty training problems.
The little girl, who is recovered and living with her grandmother, had originally suffered internal bleeding inside her brain along with a few fractured ribs, and a whole assortment of other tragic injuries.
Here's what the prosecutor said:
“Only a monster glues her daughter’s hands to the wall.”
The mother had admitted the severity of her actions, but claimed she had changed since the incident.
Here's what she said:
“I will never forgive myself for what I did to my own daughter."
Apparently, neither could this judge.
The mother's four children, including the toddler, will continue to stay under the care of their grandmother.
Just a horrible story for everyone and anyone involved.
