PB & NAY!!!
Schools around the country are being told by government officials to check their lunches to see if they have Smucker's Uncrustables sandwiches that might contain peanut butter made by a company that is being recalled because of potential salmonella contamination.
Even though all of the peanut butter was tested before it was released to the public, company officials are still telling schools to recall all of their peanut butter because the products have expired or will expire real soon.
Here's what a USDA spokeswoman said:
"When USDA learned of the FDA recall of certain products manufactured by Sunland, Inc., we coordinated with state agencies to immediately notify individual school districts and ensure that recalled products were identified and destroyed."
As a precaution to all school children, please do not eat any peanut butter and jelly at school. If you have to - bring your own!!!
