All most of us see of Ariel Winter is her character on the megahit sitcom Modern Family.
It seems like all Alex Dunphy does is study hard, forgoing kid stuff in favor of academia. So it can be easy to forget there's an actress under there who is actually starring in a TV show.
So how does the real Ariel balance acting and going to school? She says:
"It's not that difficult to balance… I'm big into school. I really try to make it work."
Hmm. Maybe Ariel and Alex aren't all that different after all. Has she decided what she wants to study? She says:
"I want to go to college. I want to go to film school at NYU. I used to want to go to medical school. I wanted to be a forensic scientist. There were so many things I wanted to do. Finally, I decided on film school."
Film school? But she's already working in film. Why does an actor need film school? She says:
"I want to be a director. I want to act, but I don't know if I could direct the films that I act in. It sounds really weird and difficult – but I'd want to do it."
She should ask the genie to introduce her to Ben Affleck! He certainly seems to have a handle on the whole thing!
