Baby Born In NJ Hospital Truck During Hurricane Sandy

| Filed under: Baby BlabberShe Popped!Pregnancy Talk

A hospital truck was originally brought out during Hurricane Sandy to aid people whose home had flooded, but it ended up serving an entirely different purpose when a woman went into labor in the truck.

Christine Schleppy and her family were panic stricken when she realized she was going into labor in the middle of a hurricane, but NJ officials were able to escort her to a hospital truck when they realized the roads were too bad to make it to the hospital.

Here's what the husband said:

“You hope you can get to the hospital. We knew there were many trees down and roads getting closed left and right. It was definitely stressful. She wasn’t happy about it but ultimately the main concern was to have a healthy baby."

Well, ask and you shall receive!

The doctor on staff and his team were able to deliver a healthy baby boy named Liam Alexander Schleppy.

That's one lucky baby!
