Brooke Shields' Mother Passes Away

The one person most responsible for the existence of Brooke Shields- the model/actress and the person- has died.

Teri Shields, Brooke's mother, managed her career early on- and we mean early! She put her daughter in a Dove soap ad at 11 months old!

The hairstylist and model turned all her attention to her daughter, managing her all the way to her twenties. During this period she guided her to both controversial and starmaking roles in films like Pretty Baby and The Blue Lagoon.

The two became estranged as Brooke hit adulthood, but ultimately were able to find some reconciliation before the end.

Teri's death came at the end of a long health struggle. Our sincerest condolences go out to Brooke and the rest of Teri's family.
