Kelly Rutherford still can't believe she lost custody of her children.
"Why would you take the kids away from their mother, out of their school, away from their friends and everything they’ve known, and plant them somewhere else? It’s hard to even believe it’s real."
Though Daniel is required to help Kelly with the finances and logistics of traveling to France for visitation, the constant commute is still taking its toll on the mother.
"I was on a plane three weekends a month. I’m being punished for being a good mother and taking care of my children, and he’s being rewarded for having his visa revoked. Our kids are U.S. citizens and they have a right to be raised in the U.S."
It does seem like a strange choice for an American court to make. We don't know everything about custody law, but we hope there's some way they come to a better arrangement.
Think of les enfants. Oh no, it's too late!
