Doctors usually tell new mothers that their babies should NOT watch television.
But a new study has concluded that a lot of moms disregard that advice especially if their babies are hyper active or "fussy".
Infants were especially placed in front of the boob tube if their mothers were obese or did not have much education.
Excess TV viewing early in life is a concern because the habit has been linked to weight problems and developmental delays in preschool kids, the researchers said. In addition, the TV viewing habits of young children appear to continue into later childhood and the teen years.
Ways to fight against babies watching television is for mothers to find other ways to appease their "squirmy" babies.
Like taking them outside or reading to them.
It is important to note that researchers are not sure which causes which. If fussy babies watch more tv, or if tv makes babies more fussy.
But the truth of the matter is that if your baby can't speak, then they probably shouldn't be watching television.
Or, you know, at least that's what science says.
