It's important to Jessica Alba that her kids grow up green.
And part of that means having a green thumb!
The Fantastic Four star says she tries to make sure her daughters Honor and little Haven understand exactly where their food comes from- by growing it! Jessica says:
"Involving children in gardening and cooking is another great way to inspire eco-friendly living.
Caring for the plants in our herb wall garden helps Honor understand the steps to growing food (including patience!), how it ultimately lands on her plate, and about being a good steward of the planet."
We get gardening, but can Honor really cook already? Jessica says:
"Honor is also a great sous chef when we’re in the kitchen, so being a part of the dinner process encourages her to eat the foods she grows and develops her taste for fresh ingredients."
Mm, we'd sure like to try one of Honor's home-cooked meals! Hey, if she ever opens a wedding catering business, she could call it Made of Honor!
It sounds like Jessica is really raising her girls to understand food in a way that very few children do- a healthy way!
