We STILL can't believe that Justin Bieber was very close to never coming into this world, because his mother, Pattie Mallette, very much considered having an abortion when the then-teenager discovered she was pregnant with him!
But obviously, she changed her mind at the last minute, and has since used her son's worldwide fame as a platform to speak out on behalf of the pro-life movement with her memoir, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom, which chronicled the addiction and abuse that led to her teenage pregnancy…and now, she's taking the message to the big screen!
According to new reports, Mallette served as an executive producer for an anti-abortion short film called Crescendo, which will be released February 28th with the proceeds going to pregnancy centers!
As she says in statement:
"[I hope my involvement will] encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn."
And just so all of you Beliebers are aware, Pattie will even be making APPEARANCES at some of the upcoming screenings!
With a topic this controversial and with so many areas of grey, it's so important that young women in similar situations be educated as fully as they can possibly be about their available options and resources so that they can make the most educated decision they can that fits with their own personal stance on the matter!
