Usually when you include a typo in an e-mail address, it just leads to an error. Page not found, dead end- nothing there.
But every once in a while, a hotmail.com becomes a hotmale.com, and then oh boy do hijinks ensue!
Such was the case for the poor administrators of Chicago Public Schools on Wednesday. They sent out an e-mail to parents with a very unfortunate link- to an adults-only website!
The e-mail was intended to give parents a link to ISBE, the Illinois State Board of Education, at isbe.net.
But the address included was for isbel.net - and that little ell made all the difference, as it linked to this website, a kinky kama sutra site!
Luckily, entry into the site was invite only, otherwise who knows what parents and children might have seen! Awkward dot com!
