The new fashion designer recently opened up about how she handles being a mother while still dealing with her career, and what being a mama means to her.
On being a mama:
“Motherhood came very naturally to me. I’m enjoying every second. Cam is 6 months now and his personality is really starting to show. He’s such a happy, sweet baby. Every day is something new and exciting.
Being a mom means being responsible for another life and it no longer being about you. It’s the most rewarding thing in the world.”
On how she dressed while she was with child:
“My style remained pretty much the same while I was pregnant. I embraced my growing bump with lots of dresses and skirts. I think it’s cute to wear tight dresses to really show off the bump. I don’t think women need to hide under baggy clothes.”
On if motherhood has influenced her designs for her new footwear line, Chinese Laundry by Kristin Cavallari:
“My style has definitely been influenced now that I’m a mom. Fashion and style is still very important, but comfort is key. I find myself wearing more flats, which can go with every outfit whether it’s a casual dress or jeans, which is why I incorporated lots of them into my Chinese Laundry by Kristin Cavallari collection.”
Sounds like Kristin got the whole motherhood thing on lock!
Werk it out mama!!
