9-Year-Old Mom Story Gets A LITTLE Better… Then A LOT Worse!

Last week, we told you the story of Dafne, a 9-year-old girl in Mexico who was impregnated and miraculously gave birth to a healthy baby!

Well, the good news is that the girl's age was misreported by her mother. According to doctors she is at least 12 or 13, possibly older!

We're not sure why her mother lied, but it may have had something to do with keeping her in school longer.

And while that isn't MUCH better, we're sorry because this next part is MUCH worse!

According to DNA testing, the teenage "boyfriend" Dafne claimed impregnated her is NOT the father.

The father of the child is Dafne's 44-year-old stepfather!

Yuck!

And now it seems that the entire family - baby and all - has fled to avoid further investigation! This just isn't right!

We'll keep up with the story, but honestly we're not sure how many more "developments" we can take!

The first story was horrifying, this one is even worse. I feel physically sick. I hope they find the girl and get her away from those awful awful parents. The stepfather deserves to be castrated and the mother is no better for staying with him and lying about it.

    Wow.

There is still a lot of missing facts. How come Dafne is described as 4 feet shoulder length blond hair light complexion, being from Mexican parents? The baby looks very Anglo, where did they all disappear to?, who confirmed DNA sample for paternity? How exactly did they determine with "anthropological" tests how old Dafne is> I saw only one picture of her hands and they looked very very big for a 9 year or even a 12 year old, surely the investigation should be able to clear up and confirm all these statements. Lousy policework so far.

this is truly a sad story… the girl's mom and step-dad should be held responsible and punished for their actions.

regarding Barbara's comment, yes, i also think there's missing information to the story… but c'mon! you're implying mexicans can't have light skin or be blond!
do you really think we're all dark skinned, wearing a sombrero and sitting under a cactus?
you really need to get out of your cave more, get informed!
i'm mexican and have light colored skin and brown hair; my mexican dad can't even be in the sun for too long because he's so white he burns; my mexican husband has dark skin and black hair…
dude, we come in all colors! and so do our babies…

Re: Barbara – What does her looking "white" have anything to do with being Mexican? It's like wondering why an Asian person is calling themselves American. Mexican is a nationality, not a race. It states that they basically went into hiding so they wouldn't be investigated even more. The police did the testing, there was an investigation going on. Believe it or not, Mexico has birth records and police. Step out of your own bubble for two minutes and maybe you will find out that the world isn't flat.

Re: Barbara – you must be so dumb to believe that mexicans must be dark skinned with dark features, there is blonde people all over the world hunn, not just in the united states! educate yourself before opening your mouth!

While this story is tragic. This is Mexican culture. Girls start looking for a mate at an early age. They also look for men to take care of them and typically will look for an older male. The saddest thing here is that her stepfather took advantage of her. I volunteered with middle school age girls for a project for college a few years back and I was shocked and freaked out by how sexually aggressive 7th graders were. The girls were talking about, and hitting on male teachers. They also would ask me questions about the male teachers, for instance is he married, do I think he is cute. Ridiculous behavior. I am also not condoning the behavior of the girl or the step father, but there are some culture issues going on here but more importantly a child suffered abuse by a parent figure and now another child will suffer.

Unfortunately, things like these happen every day. I work with sexually abused children and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. It is something kept very hush hush in all countries.

Re: Barbara – Well just to clear something up real quick, not all Mexicans are dark skinned. Specially not in the state of Jalisco which is where this all occured. The majority of Mexicanns there tend to be fair skinned, with light hair and even colored eyes.

Re: Amy – Amy that's horse poop! I've been to Jalisco SEVERAL times for MONTH-LONG visits… the MAJORITY are medium to dark skinned brown/black hair… and even though many have blue eyes, even the eye color is BROWN by majority. The parents should be beaten for this… step-father for doing it, and mother for hiding it!
