In fact, she won Best Breakthrough Performance!
The amazing 9-year-old took home the award at the Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards, and she thanked someone very important in her speech- her babysitter! She said:
"I would like to thank everyone who helped me play this part, and everyone who was there for me, and my babysitter who was on set."
