Kelly Clarkson is raising her voice!
No, she isn't angry; she's inspired!
The Since U Been Gone singer performed at a special benefit concert in Dallas on Friday for the Opportunity Education Foundation, a charity which has helped make sure over 800,000 children in Africa and Asia have quality educations.
She told the packed house just how happy she was to help out. She said:
"My mother is a teacher and I come from a long line of teachers and we're all about education, so I was really, really excited to be a part of this…
The Opportunity Education Foundation, that I love and I'm proud to be a part of tonight, makes quality education available to hundreds of thousands of poor kids around the world…
I appreciate all of the people that are helping and giving their lives and their work to make kids have a brighter future…
it's a very big deal to me and very big deal to my mother."
Awww! She's doing it for her mom?! That makes us love this even more!
Ch-ch-check out the pics (below) to see Kelly singing her heart out and a few special kids giving it back to her after the show!
Now if only we could figure out how to get tickets next time!
Maybe one of those underprivileged kids will scalp some for us! JK!
