We knew Vanessa Minnillo couldn't be depressed!
Nick Lachey and the television host just welcomed their baby, Camden last September, and because being a first time mother can be extremely difficult, Miz Minnillo was going through some things.
However, while a lot of people thought she had postpartum depression, she wants to clear that mess up and is revealing that all she had were the Baby Blues.
Vanessa took to her blog to make sense of the situation, she wrote:
"I think it's just fear…The fear of not knowing what I'm doing. The fear of 'messing up' this little boy. The fear of being responsible for a human being and not knowing any 'life' experiences to compare moments with him to. No matter how many books you read, NOTHING prepares you better than the real thing. I felt lost, unloved, alone and at my wits end. I started crying. I was feeding Camden and crying my eyes out. I felt like I had officially come undone.
I didn't feel like myself. Where was the super woman who always thought and knew she could do it all? Where was the organized Vanessa who had it all under control no matter what the obstacle? She was gone, and I thought…forever."
And even though she admitted that she needed some time alone after she gave birth, she knows that there was no way anyone can ever be the "perfect natural mother" and is accepting who she is because she has "already done so much."
Dang girl, don't be so hard on yourself! Being a first time parent is tough, and you can only do your best!!
Fell better, Vanessa!
