KStew's Mom Wants To Step Away From Her Daughter's HUGE Shadow!

KStew is a HUGE celebrity!

So you would think any parent of such a star would feel good about it, right?

Well, Jules Stewart disagrees with you. The first time filmmaker wants to be recognized for her own accomplishments, and not just for raising the Twilight lady.

Here's what she said:

"It's extremely frustrating for me, because she's 22 years old and I'm almost 60. In terms of life experience — hello! — I have it all over her. It's not like I came out of nowhere. To the world, I have no name. I am 'Mama Stew' — that's what they call me, all of her zillions of fans. Or I'm Kristen's mom; I'm famous for being her mom. Most of the female directors that are successful in this business came up through the ranks. And I'm hoping to follow in their footsteps. I have my own career. My own thing going on. And I would hate to think that it's because of my 22-year-old that I got to direct a movie."

We agree she wants to recognize the fruits of her hard labor as earned rather than given!

But we think she is in a very unique position.

If her movie is a success - eat it up for yourself!

If it isn't - say it was KStew's fault!

Jk! Lolz!

Good luck with your new movie, Jules!!!

This clears up why Kristen Stewart is so *ucked up. Her mother is obviously a terrible role model if she is willing to downplay her daughter's success just so that she can shine brighter.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I disagree with you on this one, Vanessa87. In my opinion it's not that Mrs. Stewart is trying to "shine brighter" than her daughter but it's the concern that whatever she does will somehow be linked to her daughter. It's a catch 22 as doing something will possibly mark her trying to outshine her daughter, doing nothing is marking her as living of her daughter's achievements. I say she should move on with her life and do what she was doing before her child got a lucky break being an actress (not a very good actress, I might add, but definitely lucky atm).

on the other hand, the old bag is probably enjoying the whinge and is using the whole caboodle as publicity stunt for herself and her brat :D

that's such a sad thing to say. it doesn't matter how she starts or why she starts, she needs to remember Bella is only opening a door for her, it's up to her to get in and show how good she is. and what happens if she becomes an oscar winner director? people will say:"she's an amazing director and guess who her daughter is?"

I can see now why Kristen has had a hard time in the past acknowledging someone else's feelings, she learned it from her mom.

What kind of mother would say that she has something "over" her daughter?

Also, what kind of mother wouldn't be proud of her daughter's success?

There are plenty of people functioning in Hollywood that are related to each other, and people know it, and they are doing just fine.

Yes, she's Kristen Stewart's mother, but she shouldn't use her daughter's fame as a built in excuse if she's ever unsuccessful.

If she has the talent she will be, she's already in the industry, and she has visibility not many others start with. If she's not successful, the only person to blame will be herself, not her daughter.

If my mom said this about me, it would seriously hurt my feelings. This was extremely inconsiderate.

Re: Vanessa87 – agree with you. Plus the doors did open to her because of her daughter don't be a phony

I hope her movie is a success so she can be happy with herself.
She sounds jewish. Just a bit arrogant.
